Good piece, and something I haven't seen discussed befoee. What one person is capable of, we all are, in theory. Understanding violence rather than demonising it, is a harder task. But helps us all avoid the same mistakes over and over again when it comes to punishments and helping people function in society.
Yep - my views have shifted towards understanding rather than demonising. If we can do that at a societal level, beginning in education, I think we can make a lot of progress in this area.
